- Neel Jansen Neel Jansen (Belgium, 1982) is a choreographer, dancer and artistic director of Lit Dance Company. He trained at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp and at the Rudra Béjart Ballet School in Lausanne, before being selected by Maurice Béjart in 2003 to join Béjart Ballet Lausanne, where he performed internationally for eight years.He later joined the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, working with leading contemporary choreographers including William Forsythe, Marco Goecke, Alexander Ekman, Jo Strømgren and Christian Spuck. These collaborations strongly influenced the development of his own choreographic language. Since 2017 he has been based in Switzerland as a freelance choreographer and educator. As a guest choreographer he has created works in Madrid at The Place and, together with Graciela Martínez, for the company CaraB Danza.Since 2019 he has led Lit Dance Company, supported by the Department of Culture of the Canton of Aargau and private cultural institutions. With the company he has created three full-length productions: Perceptions (Kurtheater Baden, 2019), Sapere Aude (2023) and Mutterland–Vaterland (2026). Graciela Martínez Arribas Graciela Martínez Arribas (Madrid, 1982) is a dancer, choreographic collaborator and director of Lit Dance Madrid. She trained at the Professional Conservatory of Dance in Madrid and began her international career with the English National Ballet. She later danced with Leipzig Ballet, Ballet de l’Opéra de Nice as a soloist, Ballet Basel and Aterballetto – Fondazione Nazionale della Danza, before joining the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich. Throughout her career she has worked with internationally renowned choreographers including Mauro Bigonzetti, Ohad Naharin, Uwe Scholz, Mauricio Wainrot and Hans Henning Paar. Alongside her performing career she studied choreography and interpretation at the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. Since 2010 she has collaborated closely with choreographer Neel Jansen as dancer, assistant and co-creator. Since 2019 she has been a core artistic member of Lit Dance Company, contributing to the creation of the company’s full-length works Perceptions (2019), Sapere Aude (2023) and Mutterland–Vaterland (2026). Since 2025 she directs Lit Dance Madrid, a performing arts center that provides training and creative space for contemporary dance artists. She is also a faculty member at the María de Ávila Higher Conservatory of Dance in Madrid.
